Rugby League

Rugby League

Today we played Rugby League at the bottom court.  We had two coaches.  Their names were coach Matu and coach Paul.

First we played a game called Octopus When we played Octopus we had to run to the other end of the court without getting tagged.  I didn’t run fast and I didn’t run slow, instead I jogged to the other end of the court.  When I got tagged I had to freeze and become a seaweed.  Seaweed people have to stretch their arms and try to tag other people who are running.

Then we played a game of rock, paper, scissors, dragon.  Eti won twice so she got to be the head of the dragon.

After that we learnt how to do some different rugby kicks.  First we did a bomb kick.  A bomb kick is a high kick.  Then we did a chip kick.  It looks like a rainbow.  Then we did a grub kick which is a low kick.  I had a lot of fun learning new rugby skills.
I like playing rock, paper, scissors, dragon the best.

The Movies

The Movies

In the holidays dad and I went to the movies.  The movie that we saw was called ‘The House of Magic’.  We saw the movie at Hoyts Cinema, which is at the Sylvia Park Shopping Mall.

At the beginning of the movie a cat was thrown out of a big truck on the road by its’ owner.  The cat was a girl.  Her friend the dog came along and said, “Are you lonely?”  The cat said, “Yes I am lonely”.  Later the cat saw an old house.  It looked very spooky.  The cat saw two doves.  They flew into the top window of the old house.

In the middle of the movie the cat went into the window of the spooky house by climbing up the tree.  Then she heard a man in the house.  It was the Magic man and he was telling a story to some toys.  The toys were alive. The Magic man’s name was Mathew.  Next the man saw the cat and he named her Thunder.  He gave her that name because the cat was afraid of the thunder outside.

Later Mathew tried to destroy his house because he was allergic to cats.  He used a crane with a large ball at the end of it to break his house.  Thunder saved the house.  She did this by hanging onto the ball of the crane.  The house was only broken a little bit.

At the end of the movie Mathew fixed the house.   Mathew put up with his allergy to cats. The cat lived happily in the old spooky house with a mouse and a rabbit.  Mathew visited them sometimes.

Tina's Birthday

Tina's Birthday

On Saturday I went to Tina's Birthday party.  Tina is my friend.  She lives next door to me.  She had her birthday party at the Rock Climbing Centre in Panmure.  My Dad took me in the van to the Rock Climbing Centre.  My other friend Marija was there too.

First, we got our tickets and we were given blue bracelets.  The bracelets showed that we had payed for our tickets.  Next I went and did a climb up the rock face.  I wore a harness and I got half way up.  My favourite climbing activity was the sea one.  This was because there were pictures of sea horses and fish.  There was a funny fish type animal that was black and had red polka dots on it.  The scariest activity was the one with the dinosaur bones on it.  It had dinosaur teeth.  I had to use the red rope because red ropes are for kids and blue ropes are for adults.

After climbing the rock faces I went to the Adventure Land in the Rock Climbing area.  We played together and I took off my harness because when I was on the slide it hurt me.  I showed my Dad that I could walk on the plank.  I had to hold on tightly to the rope because it was high and wobbly.  Next, I found Tina hiding on the Pirate Ship.  I looked up and I saw her.  She didn't want come down, but then changed her mind and decided to come down.

Later we had some cake.  The birthday girl was sad because someone wasted the cake and so she didn't have any.  Then I prayed to God and Tina was happy again.  Tina ate the left over cake and was happy.

After that we went back to Tina's house and opened her gifts.  Then we played with them.  We played with a cup cake pillow that Tina got to design.  I gave Tina a Rainbow Dog pillow because her pillow didn't have much stuffing in it.  Tina liked the present that I gave her.  We all had a good time at Tina's birthday party.

The Forest

Once there were two children.  Their names were Rabeka and Bella.  They were riding their bikes around the forest at the Panmure Basin when a big butterfly flew down from the sky.  The butterfly was very beautiful.  It was coloured light blue and light pink.

The butterfly told the girls to climb onto her back.  Then the butterfly took them to Fairyland.  After they arrived in Fairyland the two girls had a look around.  It was an amazing place.  There were a lot of different coloured flowers, including rainbow coloured tulips.  They looked just like the tulips in Holland.  Also there were lots of Fairies dressing up their hair.  The Fairies were very pretty.

The two girls loved Fairyland, but they had to go home because they knew that their mum and dad would be looking for them.  So the butterfly took the two girls back home and invited them to visit Fairyland again soon.

On Queen’s Birthday weekend

On Queen’s Birthday weekend I went to the Briscoe’s shop.  We bought a new hot boiling electrical appliance to heat up the water for our Milo.  It is called a kettle.  My mum uses it to boil the water to make warm drinks for me.  Then my dad bought some forks and spoons and knives, and then he bought a dinner set.  The dinner set has cups, saucers, little plates, big plates and middle sized plates.  It has four of each sized plate.

After that we went to an American shop.  We saw heaps of American things and we bought some American things.  I bought some sour lollies, my mum bought some other lollies and my dad bought some chips.  The sour lollies are my favourite.

Later we went home and tried out our new kettle.  It worked and it didn’t make any noise.  It is nicer than our old one.  My mum used it this morning to make me milo for school.  I had a busy weekend with my family.
