During The Holidays

During the holidays my family and I went to a concert.  My family and I dressed in our best clothes.  We all looked nice.   

At the concert there were a lot of people.  There was nice food and water to drink.  Some people were selling a Filipino TV set.  It had a lot of channels. 

Inside the concert I saw my older friend.  Her name is Madel.  She was with her dad.  Her mum is in the Philippines because her mum is sick. 

The show began.  While we watched, my brother and I ate chocolate, bread and some chips. 

First we watched a video of Mega world. 

I saw a person with a microphone.  He read out the names of people who work at a Filipino TV station. 

Next we saw a kid get up on the stage.  He was 11 years old.  He was going to sing.  After he sang the stage man asked him if he liked playing minecraft.  The kid replied, “Yes!”  After that a man sang the song ‘I believe I can fly’.  He was good at singing and so was the kid.

 We saw the celebrity man.  When he went on stage the audience screamed and cheered.  Later we watched him act like he was in a movie.  He was very clever and he was good at making jokes.  We all laughed at his jokes.

Finally, when the show was over, we went home.  It was a fantastic day.

In The Holidays

In the holidays my family and I went to King of the Mountain.  First my mum and I went to get some food for the race.  Next my coach said it was my turn to go in the race.  In the race I ran so fast. 

After that we ate some food at the King of the Mountain to have a break.  Then we went out to dinner at a KFC restaurant.  I had some chips and a burger. 

Later we went home to have a rest.  At home I played with my toys.  I played in my bedroom.  Finally we went on the computer to play Minecraft.  In Minecraft I made a shopping mall and a pet shop.  In my pet shop there were cats and dogs.  In my shopping mall there were toys, phones, food, and beds for when you are tired.   If two cats or dogs are fed together they make a baby.  After playing Minecraft, it was time for bed.  I had an awesome day!!

Daddy’s Birthday

In the holidays it was my Daddy’s birthday.  For Daddy’s birthday I gave him my card.  I had made the card myself.  I gave him my card.  He said, “Thank you Summer”, and he gave me a big hug. 

Later on my Mum and my sister came back from Aaron’s birthday party.  Aaron is my sister’s friend from Child’s Time Play School.  Then we all got ready to go to the movies at Sylvia Park.

The movie was called Inside Out.  The main character was called Riley.  It was a cool movie because there were some interesting characters inside Rily’s head.  They were called Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust and Fear.  They were the best people inside Riley’s head. 

When the movie was finished we went to Sylvia Park Mall to have dinner.  For dinner I had a mince and cheese pie, but the rest of my family had a burger each and a big cookie.  My pie was yum and my family said that their burgers and cookies were yum too. 

After eating we went to the shop to buy a big cake for Daddy’s birthday.  We bought Daddy a big chocolate cake.  Then we went home to eat the cake.  Later, while we ate the cake, we watched TV.  After watching TV we went to sleep.  That was the best day ever.  I hope someone in my family has a birthday in the next lot of holidays.

On the Weekend: A Narrative

On the weekend I went to my nana’s house because our house had a fire.  When the fire happened my family was trapped in our bedrooms.  I was the only one who was not trapped.  I got down, I got low and my cat Rocky followed me.  Rocky moved slowly because the fire was in front of him.  So he moved to the side.  I got to the phone and I dialled 111 and asked for the fire brigade. 

The fire brigade man told Rocky and I to go and stand at our letterbox outside.  He told us to crouch down to get out of the house because the fire was above us.  When we got outside we ran to the letterbox. 

Then the fire engine arrived and they hosed our house with water and got my family out of the house.  Next the ambulance arrived to look after my mum because her arm was a little bit burnt.  My dad had a little burn on his leg.  The ambulance people looked after my mum and dad.  They are all better now.

It was a busy night and we were all very tired.  Because our house had been burnt down we all slept at my nana’s house.  She was pleased that we were all OK and so was I. 

Mother’s Day

On Mother’s Day I gave my mum the card that I had made for her at school.  My mum loved my card and she gave me a big kiss and a hug.  I was happy and she was happy too.  Then my family and I went to church. 

After church my dad and I went to a shop to buy some presents for my mum.  We bought her a bow, a hat, a dress and a bag.  Later my family and I went to a café to have some breakfast.  I had some pancakes and my mum had a burger.  My pancakes were yum. 

After that we went home.  Then my mum opened her presents.  I asked her if she loved her presents.  She said, “yes I love them”.  We were all happy.

Bowling

In the holidays I went bowling with my mum, my dad and my sisters.  We had the best time at the Bowling Club.

First we got to pick our super hero names.  I picked the name Blackfire.  Then we got put into teams.  My sisters and I were in the children’s team. 

Next we started to play bowls.  I aimed the bowling ball and tried to knock over the bowling pins.  I knocked all of the pins over and I got a strike.  Both teams won.  We had a tie. 

After that we went to Laser Strike game.  We had to wear some amour and carry a laser gun.  We had to shoot in the middle of someone else’s armour three times and then they were out.  When we were out we had to load our guns again.  We all had points on our guns.  I got 20 points and 16 points. 

Later we had lunch at KFC and then we went home.  I love going bowling and playing laser strike because it is fun.

The Swimming Pools

In the holidays I went to the swimming pools with my family.  There was my mum, dad, my sisters April and Madelyn, and me.  We all wore our swimming togs to the swimming pool and we took some snacks with us. 

When we got to the pools we had our snacks so that we wouldn’t get hungry.  Then we jumped into the pool.  We made a big splash without touching the ground at the bottom of the pool.  After a while my cousins arrived with their mum and dad.  There were my cousins Celeste, Chloe, Carlos and Jayden. 

There was a boom box playing songs and we listened to it.  Next Jayden taught me how to float in the water.  I already know how to swim.  Then we got out of the pool and ate some more snacks and had a drink.  Later we swam at the deep end of the swimming pool.  That was the best part of the day.  I hope I get to go to the swimming pools again soon because I like swimming.

Rugby League

Rugby League

Last week Room One played Rugby League on the bottom court.  Our coaches were coach Matu and coach Paul.  They taught us to do a grub kick.  With the grub kick I had to point the ball towards the ground before I kicked it.  Then my partner had to try to catch it.  I kicked the ball and my partner caught it.  Then I had to do the same with my partner. 

The next game they taught us was the bomb kick.  With the bomb kick I had to kick the ball high.  We learnt how to kick the ball very high and it was fun.  Our next game was called the chip kick.  With the chip kick we were supposed to kick the ball like a rainbow.  That was as much fun as doing the bomb kick. 

The last game that we played was called the Octopus game.  The coaches chose some children to tag us.  The rest of us had to run down to the other end of the court.  If we got tagged we froze and became seaweed.  That game was fun too.

The Smurf Movie

The Smurf Movie

In the holidays I watched a fantastic movie.  It was called The Smurfs.  I watched it at home with my mum, my dad and my sisters. 

The main character in the movie was a blue girl Smurf.  Her name was Smurfette.  There were lots of other Smurfs in the move too. 

In the beginning of the movie Smurfette got a new sister and a new brother.  Together they celebrated Smurfette’s birthday.  They sang happy birthday to Smurfette and they ate some birthday cake.

In the movie a bad man called Gargamal made some bad Smurfs.  In the middle of the movie a bad girl Smurf tried to capture Smurfette by taking her into the water.  Smurfette managed to get out of the water but Gargamal got her. 

At the end of the story the good people and the good Smurfs saved Smurfette by breaking the blue things that powered Gargamal’s wand.  Then they all celebrated Smurfettes birthday again.  It was a fun movie and it was a family movie.

On The Weekend

On the weekend

On the weekend I went to the swimming pool.   I went with my mum, my dad and my sisters. We went on Saturday and Sunday.  These are our fun days. I wore my purple and pink swimming togs.  I went down the water slide.  My sister went down with me.  My baby is too little to go on a water slide.  She is scared of water slides.  We all did lots of swimming.  It was nice and warm in the water.  I like swimming a lot.  When we got home I had some chocolate ice-cream.
