Mother’s Day

On Mother’s Day all of my family went to a restaurant.  At the restaurant we had lunch.  For lunch I had chips, butter chicken and potatoes.   For desert we had jelly with cream.  It was yum but a bit too cold. 

After desert my brother and I got some gifts for my mum, my aunty and my grandma.  Next we gave my mum, my auntie and my grandma their presents.  We gave them all a toaster  each.  They were really happy.  They all said thank you and they all gave us a hug.  Next we went home.  It was the best Mother’s Day ever! 

On Mother’s Day

On Mother’s Day I made breakfast for my mum in bed.  She got a fright because I had to wake her up.  After we had had our breakfast we got ready to spend the day at my Nana’s house.  My Nana looked beautiful.  She was wearing a dress.  It was pink, purple and red.  It had blue and pink flowers on it.

Next we all went to Pack and Save.  There was my mum, nana, auntie, cousin and I.  At Pack and Save we bought some food for lunch.  We got some sausages, mayo and some potatoes.  The potatoes were for making potato salad.  I like potato salad.  Our food was yummy for my tummy.

After that we went home and went to sleep.  Later I got up and said, “Happy Mother’s Day mum”.  It was the middle of the night and my mum told me to go back to sleep.  I was very tired and happy. 

Mother’s Day

On Mother’s Day I gave my mum the card that I had made for her at school.  My mum loved my card and she gave me a big kiss and a hug.  I was happy and she was happy too.  Then my family and I went to church. 

After church my dad and I went to a shop to buy some presents for my mum.  We bought her a bow, a hat, a dress and a bag.  Later my family and I went to a café to have some breakfast.  I had some pancakes and my mum had a burger.  My pancakes were yum. 

After that we went home.  Then my mum opened her presents.  I asked her if she loved her presents.  She said, “yes I love them”.  We were all happy.

She loves me very much and I love her.

Going to the ANZAC Parade

On the weekend I went to the ANZAC Parade.  I went with my family.  We saw soldiers and nurses, trucks and planes.

The nurses were cool and so were the soldiers.  I liked it that the soldiers had guns and I liked their trucks too.  Some nurses and the soldiers were inside the trucks.  The soldiers in the trucks were made up to look as though they were wounded.  The driver tooted the horn.  It went toot, toot like an olden day horn.  The horn is made of rubber and then the driver squeezed it to make the tooting sound.  That was fun.  There was also a brass band.  The soldiers blew trumpets and made marching music.  I marched in time to the music.  It was very cool. 

There were poppies falling out of the sky and planes in the air.  The planes were old.  They looked like birds in the sky.  There was one plane that had smoke coming out of it and the smoke was made up of lots of different colours.  It was white, red and blue. 

My family and I prayed for the soldiers that were in the war, including those that had died and are now with God in heaven.  After that we went to the museum.  It was a serious but it was a fun day too. 

ANZAC Weekend

On the weekend I went to the ANZAC parade with my dad.  We saw soldiers, nurses, planes and helicopters.  The planes and the helicopters threw red poppies down on us.  They looked like lots of little red dots raining down on us.  After that I prayed for the soldiers.  Then we went to the museum. 

At the museum I saw a map of Gallipoli in the game of Minecraft.  Minecraft is my favourite game.  We also saw some soldiers with guns.  Their guns looked like the guns in Minecraft.  I loved my day.
