Lent

At Lent I am going to help my dad to fix his car.  Also, I am going to help my mum to tidy my room.

For Lent I am going to help my friends when they don't know what to do.  Also, I am going to pray for the Mission Sisters to do their work, which is is helping the orphans in Africa and in India.  And I am going to pray to God to help my family.

For Lent I am going to help my Mum.  I am going to help her to do the washing.

For Lent I am going to help my friend Tyrah and the Room 2 children when they fall down on the stairs.  I am going to help them to get up and ask them if they are OK.  If they are not OK I will take them to the duty teacher.  The duty teacher will look after them and make them feel better.

For Lent I am going to say sorry to Jesus.  I am sorry that I said some hurtful words.  I will try hard to use kind words from now on.

For Lent I am going to help my brother to clean his car.  My brother will say thank you Peter.  I like helping my brother.  I am also going to listen to my Mum and Dad, and I am going to do what they tell me to do.  I love my Mum and Dad, and my Mum and Dad love me.  Thank you God for my family.

In Room 1 we are learning about Lent.  Lent is a very important time for us.  It is a Holy time.  We are getting ready for Easter.  It is a time when we try extra hard to show love and kindness to others, the way Jesus taught us.  

So we are talking about and writing about the ways in which we can show kindness and love toward others.  Then we are trying hard to follow our good words with good actions, the way Jesus taught us.
