Sylvia Park

In the holidays my Dad, Mum, my little brother and I went to the Sylvia Park Shopping Mall.  My little brother’s name is Justin.

First we ate at McDonald’s. We ate cheese burgers, chicken McNuggets and fries.  We also had ice cream cones.  They are a very yummy desert.  I like them a lot. 

After we had eaten my brother and I played on the playground.  We played on the slide monkey bars and in the tunnel.  There were only a few other children there.  Then we stopped playing to go to the Warehouse. 

At the Warehouse Justin bought a paw patrol toy with a truck and a packet of Lego.  I bought a box of blue kinetic sand, some glittering pyjamas and a packet of Lego.  Later my Mum bought me some of my school uniform and a pair of socks.  She also bought Justin a new jacket. 

Finally, when we had finished our shopping we went back home.  We all had a good day at the Sylvia Park Shopping Mall.

The Beach

In the holidays I went to the beach.  I went with my whole family.  Before we left home we all changed into our swimming togs.  We travelled to the beach in our van.

First, when we got to the beach, my brother, my two sisters and I had a swim.  We all screamed when we got into the water because the water was cold.  We only stayed in the water for a short time and then we got out and dried ourselves with our towels.  Then we got dressed so that we could get warm.

Next we had something to eat and some juice to drink.  My mum bought tuna sandwiches for us to eat.  They tasted yum. 

Later I built a big sand castle out of sand and we decorated it with pretty shells.  My sister Nicolle helped me to build the sand castle. 

After that my family and I went home.  I like going to the beach and so does my whole family.

Train Trip

In the holidays my auntie Noah took Penelope, Tryah, Leiloa and I on a train ride to the city.  Tyrah is my sister from Auckland, Penelope is my big sister from up north, and Leiloa is my sister from Samoa.

We boarded the train at the Glen Innes Station.  Then we travelled on the train to the city.  It was a short trip.  When we got to the Britomart Train Station, in the city, we walked outside and we went to the mall.

First we looked in two different shops but my auntie didn’t like those shops.  So then we found a shop that my auntie picked.  We went into the shop and bought some colouring books, writing books and colouring pens.  We also bought earphones for my auntie and a phone cover for Penelope’s phone.  My auntie said that Penelope needed a phone cover to protect her phone.

Next we got some food at McDonald’s.  We ate our food outside.  While I ate my chips I saw some pigeons that were starving, so I feed them some of my chips.  Lots of pigeons came to me and I petted them.  They kept flapping their wings. 

After that we had to go home, but we didn’t know what to do so we asked a man which was our train.  He said, “Your train was the one that just left”.  So we had to wait for another train to arrive.

Soon the train that we were waiting for arrived.  So we went on the train and waited for the driver to say, “Glen Innes Station”.  When we got back to the Glen Innes Station we got out of the train and we went to the Internet place in the shopping centre.  At the Internet place we watched parts of some movies.

After that we went home by taxi.  When we got home it was raining so we went inside and changed our clothes.  Then we sat in the lounge and watched a movie.  We were all tired but we had a great day going to the city in the train.

Inflatable World

In the holidays I went to Inflatable World with my mum, my nana and my cousin Caleb.  When we got there Caleb and I went on the Bouncy Castle.  Nana came on the Bouncy Castle with us.  Nana is the person who has to hop on the things that Caleb goes on. 

Then I got hot and so did Caleb.  So we had a drink each.  After we had our drinks I went on the Obstacles.  Caleb and I had to run and jump to get into the Obstacles.  Caleb couldn’t jump high enough so nana had to give him a hand.  I climbed over the medium sized wall and slid down.  Then I came to big wall.  I managed to get over the big wall.  I had to put my feet in the green things and then I held the black things to help me to get over.

Next I went on the Climbing Wall.  It felt a bit scary.  I climbed to the top.  Nana helped Caleb to get on the climbing wall.  Caleb needed nana’s help because he had never been on a climbing wall before.  Later my nana came on the slide with Caleb and I. 

Then we went to McDonald’s.  At McDonald’s I had a cheese burger and I got a Minion.  The food tasted good. Caleb and I like it.  We had lots of fun at Inflatable World.  I think Inflatable World is cool and so does my cousin Caleb.  

Visiting Nana

In the holidays my mum, my dad, my brother and I went to my nana’s house.  We went there to celebrate my nana’s birthday. My cousin, my brother and I made our nana a card.  Then we gave our card to nana.  Nana was happy when we gave her our card.  Then we turned all of the lights off so that we could surprise nana by singing Happy Birthday to her.

Next we ate pie, pizza and chips.  They tasted good.  After that we all ate nana’s birthday cake.  It was a chocolate cake.  It was yummy.

Then we watched TV.  We watched Lego Star Wars.  After that I went down stairs with my brother and my cousin.  We played games.  We played Tack Over and Tanking On Line.  We had fun.

We slept over at nanas house for five nights.  We took our pillows and our blankets with us to nana’s house.  It was cold at nana’s house.  Later we went back home.

Finally we were warm.

My Birthday

In the holidays it was my birthday.  For my birthday I got a special surprise from my dad.  It was a play station.  I played some war games on my new play station.  It was a bit easy and a bit scary.  It was fun though.  In the game the aliens appeared out of nowhere.  I had to kill them and they had stronger guns than me.  The gun was called Red I.  I had to push the L button on the gun to shoot the glowing bullet at the aliens.  If you get close to the aliens you can hit them with your gun.  I was able to do this to the walking aliens.  They reminded me of the Zombies. 

Once you are on Level 3 and you complete it the aliens shoot down a Spier attack.  A Spier looks like a rocket ship but it is a missile.  When the missile hits the ground it lets out alien bugs.  The bugs crawled all over my character and went into his mouth.  My character’s name is Sargent Hales.  In the game he is call Sarg.

My dad said that I got a bit scared but there are even scarier levels.  But I really enjoyed it.  Playing Levels 1 and 2 were the most fun.

The Museum

In the holidays I went to the Museum with my mum.  We went by bus.  At the Museum I saw a volcano.  It wasn’t a real volcano.  The volcano was big.  It was so big that it nearly touched the roof.  The volcano was coloured light blue and dark blue.  I think that it was made of rock.  It was just like a real volcano.

Next we went to see the sharks.  They weren’t real sharks.  The sharks were all different sizes.  Some sharks were big, some were medium and some were small.  The big shark had very big teeth.  It was scary.  It would be even scarier if it was alive and swimming around.  My mum took a photo of me and the big shark.

After that we went to visit the Marae.  It looked a bit like a house.  We had to take our shoes off when we went into the Marae.  There were some people inside but there was no stuff inside.  We looked at the carvings.  They were amazing.  I had a neat time at the Museum with my mum.
